This novel is based on a number of True stories about men (as well as women) who have been jailed and executed even though, after they have been killed, it has been proven they are innocent. Blackie Jones, our protagonist and hero, is NOT a black man but a white man who marries a woman of color. When Blackie is jailed in the Florida State Prison for the murders and rapes of his black American white and daughter who is of mixed blood, the man pleads for his life but no one listens. It is only after Blackie has been tried, found guilty and is then executed by Old Sparky, the State Prison’s electric chair that Jackie Jones is found to be innocent by a legal team composed of a smart white woman and her team. Taking place in the 1950s, during the early stages of black men, women and families marching and singing for freedom, this novel pleads to every reader, white, black or a person of color, to honor those of any color, sexual persuasion or religion. All Black and his legal team want (as does this writer) is to change the laws all over the United States of American and across the world.
